I am so excited to announce that I am participating in the Dewey’s 24 hour readathon. This is a one day, international readathon that begins on April 25th. It is really cool because if you follow the timetable they give you, everyone in the world will start at the same time. For my time zone, I will begin at 8 AM on April 25th. Click hereΒ to sign up for the readathon and see what time you will begin!
Here is my TBR for the readathon:
1. The Wicked and The Divine: The Faust Act by Gillen, McKelvie, Wilson and Cowles: This is the first volume of a new graphic novel series. In this series, Greek gods return as young people every 90 years. In two years they will all be dead. I have heard a lot of hype about this graphic novel. I am also excited to read more graphic novels.
2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling: Of course, I have read this series before. However, this summer, I am going to Universal Studios in Orlando. They have the Harry Potter world and they recently added some new additions like Diagon Alley. I am so excited to be going! In honor of the trip, I am rereading the entire series. About two years ago, I wanted to reread the entire series, but I only got through the first three. Right now, I am about half way through so I should be able to finish during the readathon.
3. Very Good Lives by J.K. Rowling: This is a commencement speech that J.K.Rowling delivered at Harvard University. In it, she talks about the benefits of failure and the importance of imagination. The proceeds go to her charity called Lumos. It is a short speech, so this will be a quick read.
4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir: This is just a free preview of the novel that I got from Barnes & Nobles. I am interested in getting this book when it comes out on April 28th. This sample is only 48 pages. I am excited to see how it is.
Are you participating in the readathon? Let me know in the comments section! π
I wish I could participate in this. This weekend is going to be the busiest weekend I have this year, with one daughter’s prom on Friday night, another daughter graduating from college on Saturday and a dinner later, and another daughter being confirmed at church on Sunday, with another dinner to celebrate that LOL! Have fun!

My weekends are usually jam packed too. Surprisingly I have no plans this weekend. This is the first readathon that I will be able to participate in. I can’t wait. π

I can’t wait to hear what you think of The Wicked and the Divine. I’m trying to work some comics in too – I read Seconds and I have The Thrilling Adventures of Lovlelace and Babbage around here somewhere.
Keep on reading and have an awesome Readathon!
