I have been unexpectedly busy this week and I haven’t had time to post. 😦 But I’m back and just wanted to share what I am currently reading and plan to read this weekend.
After finishing Girls in White Dresses, I have been in a bit of a slump. The book was not that great and I kind of haven’t been in the reading mood. With that and being crazy busy this past week, it felt like a chore to try to complete a 500+ page book. I literally picked up 5 books that fit the category and couldn’t get into any of them. I decided to put that strip back in the jar and pull another one. I still want to do the challenge, but I just could not do it at this time.
For the January redo, I will be rereading a favorite book! I thought this was a pretty good pull that could get me out of my slump. I decided to reread The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. This was the first book I read in 2014 and I loved it. The main character, Don Tillman, is a super smart genetics professor that is a little socially awkward. He stays to his schedule, doesn’t do small talk and does not sugarcoat the truth. Consequently, Don is single. But he decides to come up with the Wife Project to hep him find a wife. As I am reading again and getting back into this world, I remember why I loved this book so much. I also purchased the sequel, The Rosie Effect, that came out back in December. After I finish this reread, I am excited to see what Don is up to next.
What are you reading this weekend? Let me know in the comments below!
Have a great weekend! 🙂
