2014: A Reading Year in Review

2014 was an amazing reading year for me. This year I found Booktube and blogs about the wonderful world of reading. This year I also started my own book blog! I also surpassed my Goodreads goal and read 21 books this year. 2014 really was a good year for me and books. In this post, I wanted to share some reading stats and my top ten books of 2014.

Number of books read: 21

  • Number of 5 star books: 8
  • Number of 4 star books: 6
  • Number of 3 star books: 7
  • Number of 2 star books: 0
  • Number of 1 star books: 0

Total number of pages read in 2014: 6,963 pages

Longest book read: The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan (574 pages)

Shortest book read: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (225 pages)

Number of Re-reads: 0 (all new books this year!)

Favorite Character: It’s a tie! I can’t choose between Auggie (from Wonder) and Prince Maxon (from The Selection).

  1. Thanks for sharing! I’ve read Ana & The French Kiss and The Fault in Our Stars. I liked Paper Towns better. John Green is an exceptional storyteller. What other book genres have you read? More power to you this coming year! 🙂

  2. Thanks! I read a lot of fiction. This coming year I want to expand my reading to include more nonfiction and even some classics. I have also tried graphic novels. I will definitely have to check out Paper Towns. I enjoyed John Green’s writing.
